broken/chipped central incisors All Porcelain Crowns on Central Incisors
One of the more challenging and artistic areas of cosmetic dentistry is to match single front tooth crowns. This requires a great deal of skill and artistry to create natural results.
In many cases, patients are not interested in porcelain veneers or porcelain crowns on all their teeth. In these cases, it is an option to do one or two front teeth.
The photos show a gentleman who had broken and chipped front central incisors. He was not concerned about the color of the other teeth and was only interested in correcting the broken teeth. As you can see in the photo, the crowns blend in beautifully with the adjacent natural teeth. I always custom shade single teeth to obtain this match. Shading is not the only factor that determines how well it will blend. One must consider the shape , texture, and anatomy as well.
There are usually more than one cosmetic dentistry options for patients and your dentist should offer choices as well. If you have any questions about Houston Cosmetic Dentistry or Houston Veneers, please feel free to contact our office, Ronald W. Konig DDS, FAGD, LVIF 713-668-2289
