Konig DDS, FAGD,LVIF recognizes that headaches and migraines can be debilitating and many patients have gone from physician to physician trying to find the cause and cure. One of our patients, whom we treated 7 years ago with physiologic neuromuscular dentistry, was just telling us that it is amazing how well she still feels and is pain free.
Glenda suffered from were pain when chewing and getting a debilitating headache which radiated to her neck for years. She had seen many dentists and physicians to no avail. She was skeptical at first since she had tried so many other things and even expressed that it was actually depressing to have to live with her pain.
Glenda went through a series of physiologic neuromuscular testing to help determine the correct jaw position and then a fixed orthotic was placed for about 90 days. Her jaw and neck started to feel better and then the headaches were significantly improved. Following this phase and Dana elected to restore some of her teeth to help keep her jaw in this position. This is the long term treatment that has kept her comfortable and happy for over 7 years.
