Certified PPM (Pure Power Mouthguard) Dentist
Dr. Ronald Konig is a certified PPM dentist and joins a group of 300 neuromuscular dentists worldwide who are offering the PPM. He was one of five PPM dentists who were in Tampa for the Superbowl to fit NFL players with PPM Appliances. Dr. Konig who is also a Fellow of the Las Vegas Institute (LVI) for Advanced Dentistry, has been fitting the PPM at his practice for athletes seeking a real edge in sports. Over 90% of the population has an overbite, and one of the negative effects of an overbite is that it causes muscle tension, says Dr. Konig. When the neck and jaw muscles are tense, the body can’t perform at its peak. Strength is lost and balance is diminished. So on the most basic level, what the PPM does is allow the body to perform at its absolute peak, in a purely natural way. Athletes are fitted with the device through a sophisticated K-7 machine and other computer technology. Once the correct bite is discovered a mold is made and sent off to a special the lab for production, the design will be dependent on the sport.
Rutgers University, one of the most esteemed research institutions in the world, recently conducted a research study on the PPM and concluded that the device works and is a true benefit for athletes seeking a real natural edge in sports .Notable athletes using the PPM include: Shaq O’Neil (Suns), Manny Ramirez (LADodgers), Michael Redd (Bucks), Josh Brown (St. Louis Rams), Michael Turner (Atlanta Falcons), Scott McCarron (PGA) and Steve Elkington (PGA).There are currently over 300 professional athletes are using the PPM, with representation in Major League Baseball (MLB), the National Basketball Association (NBA), the National Hockey League (NHL), the National Football League (NFL), and most sports in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). As well, there are over 1,000 collegiate, olympic and amateur athletes who have embraced the PPM phenomenon.
