This case shows how a bad bite had caused worn teeth, gum disease, and a crooked and aged smile. Rather than just fix the teeth, Dr. Konig aligned his jaw and facial muscles first then corrected the bite and smile, achieving a long-term stable bite and healthy transformative smile makeover!
This lady had been advised she needed jaw surgery to correct her underbite that was damaging her teeth, impeding her speech, and was unesthetic and had a lack of upper lip support. With advanced non-surgical jaw realignment, we were able to correct all these issues and give a her healthy and beautiful smile.
Treatment consisted 3 conservative porcelain veneers and a new ceramic crown to replace the existing crown that was unsightly. We had the patient whiten his teeth prior to treatment so as to design the veneers a more attractive shade. The veneers and crown were mapped to artistically blend in with his natural teeth. Note the layers of shading and translucence along with striations in the veneers.
This gentleman had TMJ pain and headaches and a deep overbite with severe crowding. His misaligned jaws were contributing to these issues. Non-surgical overbite treatment were utilized to correct and eliminate the TMJ problems and create a healthy smile and improve his facial esthetics, essentially a non-surgical facelift.
